We're designing Villaggio at San Luis Obispo to offer adults aged 60 and over an inclusive lifestyle full of choices. Villaggio will be a life plan community with a full continuum of care.
Our community resembles the hilltop villages of the Mediterranean, bringing people and activities together in an open-air environment. We empower our residents to live their personal definition of a full life.
Villaggio Communities, the company developing Villaggio, is principally owned by San Luis Obispo locals. Our executive officers each bring a lifetime of success and knowledge. We aspire to LEED Certification and the highest environmental standards. We will incorporate the newest solar technology, water our landscaping with recycled water, protect our wetlands, and preserve over 30 acres of open space.
We realize that moving into a Life Plan Community is a big decision. We don't take our responsibility to you lightly. That's why we've engaged with Life Care Services (LCS) as a Consultant. LCS is one of the nation's largest managers of full-service retirement communities. They help us fulfill and maintain the highest standards in the senior housing industry. When our doors open, LCS will continue to share their managerial expertise and resources with Villaggio. And with LCS's 40+ years of experience, we're in good hands. The California Department of Social Services requires each Life Plan Community to be licensed by them after a thorough review. It then requires each community to annually submit audited financial statements as well as other information that assures the community's viability and adherence to state regulations.
*Application for a Permit to Accept Deposits and Certificate of Authority has been submitted to the Department of Social Services, pursuant to H&SC section 1772.2(b)(1).
Currently we plan on building Villaggio in multiple phases.
